Creating growth in senior executive vacancies
Kit Scott-Brown, Managing Director of InterExec comments, “in almost every sector we are seeing significant levels of growth, which is a valuable pointer to the prospects for the UK economy, in that senior executive recruitment tends to precede middle and junior level recruitment by 6 to 12 months.”
“These are very encouraging times for the senior executive wishing to find a new challenge and there is no sign of any reduction in the rate of opportunities coming up over the summer months.”
An equally positive picture can be seen when you look at specific disciplines. As an example, there has been a 32% increase in unadvertised vacancies for Financial Directors and CFOs during the first half of 2015 versus the last six months of last year.
The demand for Senior Executives in the HR function has increased by a staggering 66% and both consultants and interim executive positions are 27% over the same period.
Scott-Brown again, “these are very encouraging signs especially for the UK economy. In many sectors and disciplines the demand for outstanding people continues to create an exciting period of opportunity for the Senior Executive wishing to find the next challenge.”
