Macildowie has record breaking boost thanks to staff investment

The firm has filled 800 more jobs than the previous year, opened a brand new office in Milton Keynes and has seen an increase in revenue of over 22 per cent.

As part of an ambitious five-year growth plan, with an aim to recruit 15 more members of staff, Macildowie’s senior team has identified staff motivation and engagement as the key components in keeping the business alive and well, and continuing to increase year on year growth.

James Taylor, director at Macildowie, explains the rationale.

“This year, Macildowie filled 4,058 jobs, and next year we want to push that figure up past 5,300. The jobs market in the East Midlands is very strong at the moment, we’ve experienced a particular increase in the number of candidates we’ve placed in small to medium sized businesses.

“Looking ahead to 2016, we’re ramping up the investment in our teams even more, with the biggest ever learning and development budget to ensure our staff develop their skills to the highest level. We want to build a business where careers can be grown at Macildowie – where our staff can build their own great future and realise their ambitions.

“Staff are also incentivised by fantastic opportunities such as travel packages to New York or Las Vegas, paid for by Macildowie increased opportunities for career progression and a way to accrue additional holiday days.”

The leading recruitment firm also processed over 40 per cent more timesheets in temporary positions, in a response to customer needs and the ever changing job market.

James added: “With new roles including managing consultant and business manager, we want to encourage our staff to stay with us and mould their careers however they want.”
