One Way celebrates its 10th birthday
“From the two of us down in Southampton specialising in trades and labour, we have now grown into a company of 50 people, have further divisions specialising in civils, heavy plant rail, and construction professionals and have offices in Liverpool, Greater London and Wales as well as our Head office in Southampton,” says director Paul Payne.
“We have grown into a company that can provide exceptional service for all levels of construction with niches specialists in our respective sectors from trades & labour through to white collar professionals. We have achieved a turnover of just shy of £20m and are looking at doubling that over the next five years.”
“In the early days, we were chasing the money”, says Duncan Bartlett. “Today, the money is a by-product and although it might seem corny we get a real kick out of giving people an opportunity and then watching them develop and grow.”
To celebrate, the company threw a lavish party for all our people and their partners at The Botley Park Hotel in Southampton. “We wanted to give people an experience – not just a party and so people could check in early and have spa treatments – or take advantage of our pub theme room with a fussball table – or simply just chill out before the main party in the evening. It was one hell of a tenth birthday party!”
