Recruitment Industry Disability Initiative Awards deadline tomorrow
The Awards are completely free to enter and attend and there is a special Disability Confident category which is supported by the DWP and lots of other categories to choose from. Details on how to enter are below.
What are the RIDI Awards all about?
In the UK nearly 7 million people of working age have a disability but the employment rate for disabled people lags well behind others. Only 46% of working age disabled people are in employment compared to 76% of working age non-disabled people – representing a gap of around two million. We believe more needs to be done to build disability confidence into our recruitment and employment strategies – and the RIDI Awards take us a step closer to achieving this. The second annual RIDI Awards in November will continue to recognise progress on disability employment, good practice and excellence in the recruitment sector. You can enter for free. So, if you are really proud of your work on disability, don't keep quiet about it. There are lots of different categories up for grabs.
How to enter
The awards are open for entries until Friday 31 July and entering is easy. Just choose which category (or categories) you wish to apply for and demonstrate how you meet the judging criteria for each. There is a simple form to complete on the RIDI Awards website.
All entries must contain:
• An entry summary of 250 words maximum
• A detailed submission of 1,000 words maximum
• Contact details.
Good luck to everyone that enters!
