RIDI Awards: two weeks left to submit
Now in their second year, the awards celebrate progress and recognise the success of organisations that are making headway in increasing the inclusion of disabled professionals. Last year the awards attracted over 50 applications across categories including Innovation in Assessment, Inclusive Partnerships, Employers&rsquo Choice and Overall Candidate Experience. Previous winners included Sky Blue Carillon, CEB/SHL, E:ON, the BBC, Sainsbury&rsquos and Eversheds in partnership with Guidant Group, as well as many smaller employers and recruiters. Commenting on the nearing deadline, Kate Headley, director of consulting at the Clear Company and spokesperson for the Recruitment Industry Disability Initiative said:  &ldquoWhen you look at the fact that there are seven million working age people in the UK with a disability, and only 46% of that number is currently working, it becomes clear that we are neglecting a vast pool of talent. &ldquoHowever times are changing. Thanks to an ever-increasing awareness across the business landscape and recruitment profession, the percentage of disabled people in work is increasing &ndash and all employers and recruiters have their own individual roles to play in impacting the prospects of disabled jobseekers for the better. &ldquoIf you are proud of the changes that your organisation is making to increase the inclusion of disabled talent, don&rsquot stay quiet &ndash shout about it. You have two weeks to share your stories by entering the RIDI Awards. We look forward to receiving your entries.&rdquo Submissions close on the 31st July 2015 and the awards are free to enter and attend.
