UKTI Singapore trade mission powers British Volcanics global expansion
During the northern powerhouse initiative trade mission headed by David Cameron which took place this week, Volcanic signed a deal with award-winning Singapore-based recruitment agency Achieve Group to provide web development and strategy for three websites across Asia-Pacific in Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong.
The deal is the direct result of the UKTI and Volcanic working in close partnership to build connections between local businesses in Singapore and companies based in the North of the UK.
Achieve Group’s founder and CEO, Joshua Yim, said he was pleased to announce the new partnership.
“Our new websites will use Volcanic’s specialist recruitment platform to enable Achieve Group to attract the best candidates for our clients and manage their needs and preferences effortlessly. It’s crucial for us that we employ the latest digital technology that fits our specific needs and is future-proofed, so that we can continue to stay ahead of the competition and provide a seamless, personalised service to both clients and candidates.”
Volcanic’s co-founder, Rob Wilde, says, “This is a significant win for us and we are delighted to be working with such a high-profile client. With clients in Australia, Burma, Japan and Singapore, we see establishing an office in Singapore as the catalyst to enable us to become the market leading provider of recruitment websites in the Asia Pacific region.”
