BlueSky PR highly commended at the enei Awards 2015

This accolade is in recognition of a current campaign in which BlueSky PR helps to promote The Recruitment Industry Disability Initiative (RIDI), an independent not-for-profit group of employers and recruiters that are looking to drive progressive changes for disabled people in the UK jobs market.

The initiative’s main aim is to remove the many barriers encountered by the millions of disabled people involved in all stages of the recruitment process. The campaign is sponsored by leading specialist outsourced recruitment services company Guidant Group, an Impellam Group Company.

Tracey Barrett, managing director of BlueSky PR, commented, “Our team is thrilled to have been highly commended for its work in promoting The Recruitment Industry Disability Initiative. Greatly committed to its mission, BlueSky PR donates half of its resource on the campaign as a pro bono project, and could not be happier that it has had such widespread coverage in the media. In the climate of a national skills shortage in many sectors and with one in three disabled jobseekers reporting discrimination in the workplace, the inclusion of disabled people into structured, fair talent pools is not just a diversity initiative – it is business critical.”

Catherine Grinyer, director of Big Voice Communications and communications lead for the Recruitment Industry Disability Initiative said, “The campaign that BlueSky PR developed and delivered for the Recruitment Industry Initiative has surpassed all our expectations. Our objectives for the campaign are to raise awareness of the experiences disabled people encounter in recruitment, to encourage the industry to become disability confident and to showcase those employers and recruitment agencies that are getting it right. BlueSkyPR was focused on meeting those objectives and succeeded in delivering an inclusive campaign that gives disabled jobseekers and disability confident employers a voice.”
