Brightwork Group finds new roles for Tullis Russell employees facing redundancy
The former Tullis Russell employees have joined the team at Diageo’s bottling plant at Leven, Fife, where, through Brightwork, they have been hired as temporary staff.
Swinney told Brightwork, “Your response helped to make a difficult situation a little bit better for all concerned&hellip we very much welcome you coming forward with potential opportunities for individuals.”
Shan Saba, business development director at Brightwork, said, “The Brightwork team attended an open day organised by Fife Council to urge potential employers to learn about the strong skillsets owned by the Tullis Russell workers and to consider where there might be opportunities for them to be re-deployed.
“Brightwork has provided Diageo with staff for several years and more recently recruited for its warehouse management logistics partner, WH Malcolm, and we were aware that they had a requirement for a number of skilled people”.
A spokesman for WH Malcolm said, “We were impressed by the high quality of the Tullis Russell candidates and very pleased to offer them the opportunity to join us. Brightwork deserves praise for facilitating such a positive outcome.”
