GCS appoints first female director
Lisa Forrester, who joined GCS immediately after graduating in 2003 and has since become the company's highest billing consultant ever, has been named sales director. She will initially focus on continuing to develop the company's Reading office and the recently launched New York office.
"To say I am proud of Lisa is an understatement" says GCS founder and chairman Chris Bartlett. "From her very first day, she has demonstrated an inherent understanding that recruitment is about relationship building. Proof of her reputation within GCS is that she was voted our most valuable employee at our 2015 Annual Awards. She is a shining example of what can be achieved through hard work, loyalty, and commitment."
Further great news for Forrester and GCS is her nomination at the Women in Business awards. The event, organised by The Business Magazine, sees Lisa as one of six nominees in the Woman of the Year (Large Business) category, alongside representatives from Santander and Microsoft. Forrester is the only recruiter to be acknowledged at the awards.
"I'm fortunate to have found my home in the business world so quickly" says Forrester. "I knew GCS was right for me at my first interview. I'm honoured by the award nomination and thrilled to take my place on the board. I look forward to playing a bigger part in GCS’ continued growth and using my experience to helping others develop their recruitment careers."
