APSCo CEO hailed as one of the top women in international staffing
For the first time ever, the research and data provider has published a list of the top 100 women who are affecting staffing firms and, by extension, the world of work.
Ann has been the CEO of APSCo since 1999, establishing it as the trade body dedicated to representing firms placing professional talent in the UK. In 2013, she launched APSCo in Asia and is recognised as the driving force behind a series of successful, high profile initiatives that have increased the professional profile of the recruitment sector across the world. Ann is a global commentator on professional recruitment trends and a regular speaker at UK and international recruitment conferences.
Commenting on the accolade, Swain said, “I am honoured to be recognised as a top female leader within the global recruitment profession, and it’s poignant that this accolade should coincide with the relaunch of the Women in Recruitment initiative, which APSCo is heavily supporting.
“I applaud Staffing Industry Analysts for taking the time and initiative to recognise the need to celebrate women’s contributions to the profession, all of which provide positive role-models for females throughout the sector.”
Subadhra Sriram, editor & publisher, media products, at Staffing Industry Analysts, said, “This inaugural list is Staffing Industry Analysts’ attempt at highlighting women’s contributions in a positive way. By showcasing these women, we hope to draw attention to the gender gap that exists in staffing, albeit less than in some other industries— and introduce talking points that lead the industry forward. Regardless of titles, these women are game changers, people who have taken their operations to a whole new level. Please take a moment to applaud these honourees.”
