MRINetwork expands to Canada
The company-owned office will initially focus on the finance and accounting industries. MRINetwork plans to grow its presence in the Canadian executive search and recruitment market, with expansion into the consumer goods, energy, technology and pharmaceutical markets to follow. Mark Cosens, a 30-year veteran in Canadian business development and recruitment, has been appointed as general manager.
“With this first office, MRINetwork will leverage its 50 years of success in executive search and recruitment to deliver permanent placement and contract staffing solutions to Canadian businesses,” says MRINetwork President John McDonald.
“This new office also will provide our approximately 600 global offices – many highly-specialized in particular industries – with greater capabilities to meet their client needs in Canada. We look forward to not only this new office, but to future expansion and providing search and recruitment solutions for the entire Canadian market. With MRINetwork’s proven business model, combined with Mark’s leadership and deep experience in executive search and financial services, I am confident in our future in Canada.”
Cosens, whose background includes serving as managing director for Korn Ferry International in Toronto, and leadership roles in investment banking and business strategy consulting, sees the expansion as a natural move for MRINetwork.
Cosens commented, “As key sectors of the Canadian job market continue to grow, we anticipate availability of skilled candidates will become more competitive, and clients will need our help in sourcing and selecting critical talent to grow their businesses. In addition to serving Canadian businesses, we will help our international clients navigate cultural differences and variations in recruitment practices."
