New office for Thorn Baker following growth period

The new office will be situated on Queen Charlotte Street, a prime location in the city centre.

Paul Jackman, director at the firm, said, “We have just celebrated our best year to date across the business and our Bristol office is doing significantly well.

“The team has doubled in size over the past two years and the time was right for us to move to a larger location.

“Last year, we invested heavily in hiring and developing the capability of our people. Our new office will enable us to further expand.

“We fill more than a thousand roles each year and that has significantly risen over the past couple of years. With our new office, we will be able to create more jobs in the local area.”

The deal was brokered by property specialists Knight Frank in Bristol.

Andy Smith, associate at the firm, said, “There is a very strong demand for space of this size in the market at present. Coupled with this the space has been fully refurbished, providing light contemporary space just off the sought after Queen Square.

“A combination of these factors resulted in strong demand for the suite and following a short marketing period our clients were delighted to secure Thorn Baker as a tenant”.

Thorn Baker - which recently took a three star award from Best Companies, the national award which recognises leading UK organisations - is headquartered in Nottingham and has nine other regional offices in Birmingham, Bristol, Chesterfield, Leeds, Leicester, London, Manchester, Mansfield and Newcastle.

It works across six sectors including construction, industrial, office and professional, technical and engineering, estates, facilities management and sales.

It has also been named on The Sunday Times 100 Best Small Companies to Work For in 2015 list.
