WorkForce affiliate acquires Virginia staffing agency
Terms of the deal, which closed Monday, were not disclosed.
The combination is expected to allow Arevo to become a full-service provider of staffing services in the Roanoke regional market and Virginia.
As part of the deal, Arevo will add two in-house employees: Coy Renick, founder and president of Renick Group, who will lead the sales and marketing efforts for Arevo in Virginia and Donna Tatum, who will serve as an executive recruiter in Virginia.
R. Michael Brannock Jr., a founding member of Arevo Group, said the deal doesn't expand his company's footprint, but "it's just going to give us a stronger presence and foothold in the Roanoke Valley."
"Coy and Donna are very well-known and well-respected throughout the Greater Roanoke Valley area," he said.
In addition, Arevo will acquire 50 Renick contractors who will remain at client locations throughout Virginia, Brannock said.
The workers add to Arevo's 19 employees and existing locations in Charleston, S.C. Charlotte Greensboro/High Point Roanoke and the Greater Roanoke Valley of Virginia.
While Arevo focuses on providing clients with professional level employees, WorkForce Unlimited focuses on staffing companies with light-industrial and clerical/administrative workers. Brannock is the CEO of WorkForce Unlimited.
