Athona raises over 11,000 for local and national charities
One of the charities, Saint Francis Hospice, sent in their mascot Frankie the lion to receive the cheque for £3,205.53.
Athona also raised £995.16 for Hopefield Animal Sanctuary, and a huge £6,858.61 for Guide Dogs. On top of collective fundraising efforts such as a Las Vegas themed charity ball, quiz nights and charity football match, individual employees went above and beyond for the good causes. Michael Paul, IT Manager, took part in notorious obstacle course Tough Mudder and raised £330 for Guide Dogs while Michelle Fargeot, Compliance and Resource Manager for the Education division, raised an outstanding £1,020 by skydiving from 12,000ft for Saint Francis Hospice.
Athona looks forward to raising more money in 2015-16, and is in the final stages of selecting its charity for this year.
