Berry Recruitment Warrington expands
The consultancy specialises in & lsquo;catering’ and & lsquo;industrial’ job placements and has seen both sectors expand rapidly in the north west.
In 2014 sales at Berry Recruitment in Warrington grew by 65 per cent year-on-year and there is no sign of the trend slowing.
The branch has moved into Tannery Court on Tanners Lane, which is twice the size of its previous office.
There are five staff at present and that number is expected to grow as the number of jobs continues to rise.
Berry Recruitment area manager Collette Ellis, who is based in Warrington, said: “We are now in a much better location just two minutes from the railway station and the bus station.
“We’re well placed for candidates to visit and we welcome anyone looking for temporary or permanent work in the catering or industrial sectors to get in touch.
“The & lsquo;permanent’ placement side of the business is now rapidly developing and we are very optimistic about the future.
“Our growth year-on-year has been very encouraging and the new offices will enable us to expand further.”
The experience of Berry Recruitment in Warrington reflects figures published in the recent REC Jobs Outlook report.
It showed an astonishing 99 per cent of hirers plan to hold or increase agency worker levels in the medium term.
Other revelations included that 95 per cent of employers know that they either have no workforce surplus or that the little capacity they have maybe insufficient to accommodate any form of increase in demand.
It also showed that 79 per cent of hirers are using agency workers to gain short-term access to key strategic skills.
Berry Recruitment has 30 branches across the country and its 2014 accounts showed a 16 per cent increase in turnover to more than £49m.
Chris Chown, managing Director of parent company Berry Recruitment Group, said: “Our Warrington branch is a real success story.
“We anticipate further growth at the branch as the economy picks up both nationally and in the north west.”
