Taylor Hopkins Associates appoints new board member
Greatrex was appointed for his language skills and business culture awareness, as well as contacts and markets insights, that the company hope will bolster and support its efforts in expanding in its target Latin American and global markets.
Greatrex will also provide consultancy in organisational development to Taylor Hopkinson as the business aims to continue to expand its executive search, permanent recruitment and contract and interim solutions into new geographies, technologies and disciplines within the renewable energy, clean technology and carbon management sectors.
Greatrex has held leadership positions at major international consultancies, having been managing partner of Deloitte Consulting Iberia, where he directed 15 partners and 450 consultants, and was a member of the European Management Team and the Global Board.
He then joined Arthur D. Little where he led their global renewable energy practice. In the last decade, Grant has supported multiple renewable energy, clean technology and carbon management projects and transactions in emerging markets in Latin America, Middle East, Africa, Asia and CDM countries for IPPs, developers, technology players and institutional investors, as well as providing expert witness testimony services in high profile renewable energy disputes and arbitrations.
Tom Hopkinson, founder and managing director of Taylor Hopkinson Associates, commented, “Grant’s experience is tailor made for us at this stage in our evolution. If the impact he has made in this first few weeks of collaboration is anything to go by I have absolutely no doubt he will be an integral part of the Taylor Hopkinson story.”
Greatrex said, “I am very impressed with the quality of the Taylor Hopkinson team, their commitment to the global renewable energy and clean technology market and ambition to grow internationally with the industry. It is an ambition I share and look forward to contributing to this success.”
In the last 12 months, the recruiter has more than doubled annual turnover and revenues whilst increasing headcount by 40%. Over 70% of total revenues in the last year have originated from international wind and solar energy markets. As the share of revenue generated from their Latin American client base is growing faster than any other region, Taylor Hopkinson are continuing to grow the team in their recently established Madrid office.
