CEO of TRG Group recognised with national honour
Trevor Gilbert, CEO of the TRG Group, has been selected to receive a British Citizen Award (BCA) for his services to business. He has worked to improve the employment opportunities for disadvantaged people.
Now entering its second year, the British Citizen Awards in partnership with InMoment, were launched in January 2015 to recognise exceptional individuals who work tirelessly and selflessly to make a positive impact on society. BCAs are awarded twice annually, and recognise ‘everyday’ people whose achievements may otherwise be overlooked.
Gilbert, of Colchester, is a practising expert witness employment analyst and career profiler who has specialised in the preparation of loss of earnings reports for the purposes of civil litigation for 25 years.
Over the years, he has worked to significantly improve the standards of recruitment and employment nationally by introducing a Code of Practice during his time as President of the IEC (now Recruitment and Employment Confederation). In his capacity as vice chairman of the Academy of Experts, he has been instrumental in improving the quality and training of service delivery of experts and raising the profile of the Academy. He has constantly worked within his own organisation, TRG Group, and externally with Members of Parliament, lawyers, Young Enterprise and the Prince's Trust to help improve the employment opportunities for disadvantaged groups of people including those with disabilities.
Gilbert is one of 33 medallists who will be honoured at a prestigious ceremony on 28th January, at the Palace of Westminster. Successful medallists are selected from public nominations by a panel of independent assessors.
