Hucknall mum to launch new recruitment agency
Sacha Atherton, a mum from Hucknall, Nottinghamshire, plans to launch a new recruitment agency for parents, which will give them a better work-life balance.
Atherton used to work as a product manager, but left her job when she struggled to reduce her hours after having her daughter. She also struggled to find a flexible or part-time position once she left her job, so decided to become her own boss.
The recruitment agency she has designed, Premier Parents, is yet to be launched. She has, however, been donated money from the public via Crowdfunder, an online crowdsourcing platform. Atherton also hopes to gain a loan from the Prince’s Trust, after recently completing a four-day workshop with the charity. She also plans to pitch her idea to the Business Launch Group which, if successful, would give her a business mentor and the option of applying for a low-interest loan.
Atherton believes the company will take between £15,000 and £20,000 to start up.
She said of her idea, which she aims to launch in March, "I think if I can make this a success it will make a massive difference to parents."
