NHS Trusts to have access to HCL’s Transformation Team
HCL Workforce has welcomed the announcement from TDA and Monitor on 19th January 2016, which bans the use of off framework staffing agencies.
From 1st April 2016, NHS Trusts will only be permitted to procure agency workers from an approved framework supplier. HCL Workforce say it is estimated that up to 50% of agency workers are currently supplied outside of the national framework agreements. The company say that in an effort to support providers, from today, NHS Trusts will have access to HCL’s agency Transformation Team.
Claire Billenness, managing director at HCL Managed Services, commented, “this is a welcome move by the TDA and Monitor, removing the off framework supply will immediately bring down the cost of agency workers and will have a positive impact on the clinical compliance of the temporary workforce.
“Our transformation team has successfully helped many trusts transition non compliant temporary workers to fully compliant agencies or in house banks without disrupting service delivery.”
Stephen Burke, CEO, said, “HCL has consistently supported the call to remove all off-framework spend. The recent success with Leicester Partnership NHS Trust (LPT) in which we effectively supported the Trust to remove all off-framework staff and generate significant and immediate savings is indicative of the power of sustained and proactive workforce planning.”
