Penna Recruitment Solutions announces London Borough contract win
Penna has won a contract to provide outsourced recruitment services to the London Borough of Barking & Dagenham (LBBD).
Penna will be recruiting 60 social workers on behalf of the local authority over the next two years, through a mix of resourcing consultancy, design, delivery and assessment services.
According to Penna, the contract marks a change in direction for LBBD, which has outsourced individual recruitment projects to Penna in the past, towards an integrated strategic campaign designed to attract and retain qualified and experienced social workers. The campaign aims to reduce LBBD’s reliance on agency staff and establish a permanent workforce.
Julie Towers, managing director, Penna Recruitment Services, said, “We are seeing more local authorities choosing to outsource the whole recruitment cycle in order to establish and embed high quality employer value propositions in the process; and we know that this approach works well in scarce talent and high demand professions, having already achieved improvements for other councils including Sandwell and Doncaster.”
