Amoria Bond to sponsor Manchester hockey club
The Manchester University Men’s Hockey Club have secured sponsorship with Amoria Bond, which is based in South Manchester.
The company, previous winners of the Recruitment International ‘Growth Company of the Year’ Award, says it has chosen to back the sports team as part of its local recruitment strategy and to mark the start of its tenth year in business.
Jack Miller, sponsorship secretary for the hockey team, hopes that this financial backing will give the team, who finished 3rd in the BUCs Northern 1A League last year, a massive boost. He said, “The team has a huge desire to win and Amoria Bond is a multi-award winning business. This will be a potentially explosive partnership and the funding will certainly help the team to continue our success.”
Amoria Bond’s founders, Daniel Daw and Gareth Lloyd, both former students from The University of Manchester, have expanded their multi-million-pound business from Didsbury into Singapore, Cologne and Amsterdam primarily through hiring graduates and junior sales people.
Lloyd commented, “It’s important to support competitive activities within Manchester, especially as times are becoming increasingly difficult for graduates to differentiate themselves. We were impressed by the genuine passion and proactivity that the hockey leadership team demonstrated for the sport that they love. It’s very much in line with the mind-set we look for at Amoria Bond.”
