Apprenticeship provider launches charity drive to celebrate its 20th anniversary
Positive Outcomes, a provider of specialist work-based training and apprenticeships, has launched its 20 by 20 campaign.
The campaign will see the firm raise £20,000 for charity by the year 2020.
2016 sees Positive Outcomes reach its 20th year in operation. To celebrate this, the firm is aiming to raise money for various charities over the next four years, up until the year 2020, when the company aims to reach its grand total of £20,000. In order to do so, Positive Outcomes is looking to its team to raise money through various charitable endeavours, which it will then match from its own specially dedicated funding pot.
Ryan Longmate, joint managing director of Positive Outcomes, said, “We’re enormously proud to have come so far and to have grown so much since our conception. 20 years is a long time in the business world and we’re keen to do something special to mark the achievement. Now the obvious theme is 20, which is why we opted to do 20by20 that will see us raise £20,000 by the year 2020. With so many twenties looming on the calendar, we felt we had to seize hold of it and make it our own!”
Over the next four years, Positive Outcomes will nominate a new charity annually, which it will support and dedicate its fundraising support towards. Each new charity will be nominated by April of that particular year, with this year’s charity still in the process of being decided.
Longmate commented, “£20,000 is a lot of money to give to one charity, so we wanted to break it down in order to give more widespread support. There are so many wonderful charities out there that it’s difficult to pick just one to get behind. Hopefully we’ll be able to give £5,000 to four charities over the next four years, doing our bit to help a variety of causes.
We’ve already had a really enthusiastic reaction from the team, with a 38km mountain bike ride around the peak district as well as sky dives already in the fundraising pipeline.
“Raising money for good causes is a great way for us to say thank you for all of the support we’ve received from a wide variety of areas over the years. As an organisation we’re extremely enthusiastic about the 20by20 effort and excited to see what we can do.”
