Brightwork Group’s staff to provide services to charity
Brightwork Group’s staff have decided to use the extra day in February to provide their services to Volunteer Scotland.
The charity, Brightwork says, helps inspire people to take action for the benefit of their neighbours, their communities, their city and their environment.
Shan Saba, business development director at Brightwork Group, said, "The business skillsets we have, such as HR, administration, sales, finance, credit control and recruitment, will be invaluable to charities.
"We have more than 70 staff and we are delighted to be able to offer to facilitate their services for one day over the course of the year on a voluntary basis for any of the charities associated with both Volunteer Glasgow and Volunteer Edinburgh."
Nick Brown, of Volunteer Glasgow, commented, "It’s great to see this Leap Year Initiative from the staff and directors at Brightwork. Their donations of time, skills and experience will make a big difference to charities and 3rd sector organisations across Glasgow. Well done to all involved!”
Derek May, Brightwork Group chief executive, commented, "Our staff excel themselves when it comes to thinking up new ways to support those less fortunate in society and the directors are, in turn, very glad to support them."
