Construction agency forecasts 49% profits

Scottish-based independent property and construction agency, C & P Recruitment, has announced record profits and a third branch opening in England.

The agency is forecasting 49% increase in sales of 7.5m for the current financial year. The company, which already has offices in Edinburgh and Inverness, is opening its latest branch in Newcastle-upon-Tyne.

Mike Wynn, managing director of C & P Recruitment, said, “We have traded successfully through one of the worst recession periods in the industry 2008 - 2015.  It was a very challenging environment, however we are delighted to announce that C & P Recruitment has performed exceptionally well with turnover in 2016 on course for a record 49% increase with year-end sales on course for 7.5m.”

Scottish regional manager, David Hutton, said, “Given my previous experience of the North East market it was imperative that we hit the ground running when we launched the Newcastle office.  We took our existing business model of placing a robust management structure in the organisation and this has undoubtedly proved to be the right strategy.

“Turnover to date has far exceeded our expectations and more importantly our clients are happy.”

Director, Donald Wynn, said, “When trading conditions became difficult in 2008 we took the decision to consolidate our position and whilst it was tempting to venture off into new markets we took the decision to stick to what we know best. This has proved to be the correct decision as it allowed us to open our latest branch which has gone from strength to strength.  Our Edinburgh and Inverness C & P Recruitment offices are far exceeding expectations and I don’t know of many other recruitment agencies working in the construction sector that were actively expanding and opening new offices during this period.”
