Core-Asset Consulting appoints legal business manager

Core-Asset Consulting has appointed Andrew Inglis to the newly-created position of Business Manager, Legal.

Inglis will be responsible for the recruitment of all permanent legal vacancies across Core-Asset Consulting’s client base, including asset management, asset servicing and the wider financial services sector in Scotland. He will also manage the company’s expansion into the Scottish legal sector, a new market for Core-Asset Consulting.

He joins the company this month and will report to John Docherty, divisional director of Accounting & Finance. Prior to Core-Asset Consulting, Inglis held a number of senior recruitment positions. Most recently he was managing consultant for Carlton Resource Solutions in Aberdeen.

Core-Asset Consulting now has 35 employees, a near doubling of headcount over the past two years.

Betsy Williamson, managing director, said, “In recent years Core-Asset Consulting has seen a marked increase in the number of law-related roles issued to us by financial sector clients. We are also being approached more frequently by Scottish law firms keen to utilise our high expertise, high engagement model of recruitment. Andrew’s appointment is a strategic response to these two trends.

“With over 15 years’ of experience recruiting across legal positions in Scotland, his knowledge of the sector will prove invaluable to our existing clients and candidates.

“Andrew will also play a leading role in growing our presence among Scottish law firms, a sector which has witnessed widespread consolidation in recent years. We’re confident we have the right skills, experience and approach to meet the recruitment challenges that such change brings.”
