Odgers Berndtson chairman joins graduate recruitment start-up
Richard Boggis-Rolfe, chairman of Odgers Berndtson, has joined TalentPool, a recruitment start-up for graduates, as non-executive director. His role will be to help guide the start-up graduate recruitment business and constructively assess and advise on its business plan as it continues its rapid growth.
Boggis-Rolfe commented, “TalentPool is positively disrupting the graduate recruitment industry. It brings new technology to recruitment, successfully matching graduates and businesses. TalentPool’s bespoke candidate-matching algorithm is tailored to aid small and medium-sized businesses, matching their roles with the best candidates through the use of hard data.
“I was very impressed when I met the TalentPool founders Andrew Lavelle and Tom Davenport and believe TalentPool’s model is the future for graduate recruitment. Not long ago, recruiters relied on advertising and rolodexes. Then computer databases, followed by social media, transformed recruitment at every level. Now TalentPool takes technology and innovation to the next phase and is set to revolutionise graduate recruitment. Businesses of every size benefit from hiring the best young talent, and thanks to TalentPool, the best graduates will now be within the reach of any business.”
Tom Davenport, co-founder of TalentPool, said, “We are very fortunate to have Richard Boggis-Rolfe as a non-executive director. He brings a wealth of experience not only of the recruitment industry, but also how to grow a successful business. TalentPool has seen rapid growth and we are delighted that Richard has decided to join the TalentPool board to help us continue on this trajectory of success.”
Andrew Lavelle, co-founder of TalentPool, commented, “Richard’s vast wealth of experience with the recruitment industry is next to none, and we are very fortunate to be able to receive his counsel as we enter a very exciting stage of expanding the business.”
TalentPool has experienced year-on-year growth and now has a pool of 12,000 graduates. It is currently working with 150 employers, including Deliveroo, MedShr, GoCardless and Concentra.
