RI adds Stewart McCoy as panel member to compliance conference line up

Recruitment International has confirmed that Stewart McCoy, operations director at Randstad Education and chair of the REC education sector group, will be a panel member at its compliance conference on 8th March.

McCoy first joined recruitment in 1999 as an education consultant and 17 years later continues to work in an operational capacity in the same sector.

In 2012 he was elected by members of the REC sector group as chair, representing the sector and members both in the media and at REC. He has been involved in governmental lobbying, during the run up to AWR in 2010/11 and beyond. Recently, he contributed insight and feedback within the DfE directly to aides of the Secretary of State for Education on how schools engage with agencies on pricing, statutory guidelines and the conduct regulations. More recently, he has taken part in additional consultation on the teacher supply crisis.

At Randstad Education, McCoy is responsible for driving delivery for the strategic outcomes of the business, which includes the effective implementation of new compliance regulation, as well as finding ways to improve business process so that compliance is not a barrier to business success in an increasingly competitive market. He has implemented DBS, online screen processes and a centralised compliance function to achieve a faster, response to market for the company.

McCoy commented, "At the heart of what we do in the education sector there are your children, and the children of those close to you. Compliance is not just a tick-box exercise and I'm looking forward to attending the conference and contributing positively to an important agenda as a panel member"

The compliance conference, for compliance professionals within recruitment companies and managing directors of SMEs, will focus on unravelling and clarifying issues around the latest industry legislation, with plenty of advice and opinions on the hottest issues.

Speakers at the event include Julia Kermode, FCSA chief executive; Louise Rayner, founder of NumberMill Consulting & NumberMill Accounting; Adrian Marlowe, managing director of Lawspeed, chairman of ARC and director of SiR and Jeni Howard, business improvement manager at Scantec Personnel.

This event will be held at Lloyds Banking Group, 33 Old Broad St, London EC2N 1HW.
