Sigmar Recruitment appoints non-executive director
Sigmar Recruitment has appointed Miles Hunt as its non-executive director.
Hunt is a former lawyer and the founder and former CEO of Empresaria Group, which he built to over £200m revenues with operations in 20 countries.
He now invests in and advises companies primarily within the human capital services sector through his investment company Benula Capital.
He is currently chairman of Serocor, Darwin, Davidson and Oasis HR. He is also chairman of the Association of Professional Staffing Companies (“APSCo”).
Commenting on the appointment, CEO, Adrian McGennis said, “We are delighted, at Sigmar, to welcome Miles on to the board. We were well aware of his reputation, but maybe more importantly he understood what Sigmar is about, immediately. After several years of strong growth, Miles will be valuable in achieving our ambitious three-year vision of doubling in size, whilst maintaining the Sigmar culture and purpose, that has achieved recognition and awards, nationally and internationally.”
Hunt commented, “I am both privileged to be asked to become involved in Sigmar and excited about the growth prospects for the company. The values espoused by the leadership team, the explicit commitment of the company to quality of service and innovation within the world of work can be seen in the tangible contribution it makes to the recruitment industry in Ireland and to the HR community facing the increasing challenges associated with talent acquisition and management.”
Hunt has won industry awards including Staffing Industry Entrepreneur of the Year (Recruitment International) and has been a national finalist for Ernst &Young Entrepreneur of the Year.
