SRG launches Career for Life programme

SRG has launched its Career for Life programme. The company claims the initiative takes the candidates career further by building long-term relationships.

Kelly Morton, managing director for SRG, said, “Like great science, we at SRG are about challenging conventions – about doing things that other recruiters don’t.”

As part of Career for Life, SRG has introduced a benefits programme, STAR, for its temporary workers. STAR offers temporary staff (SRG associates) similar benefits as their permanent employees.

Morton commented, “Offering a flexible benefits plan to temporary workers is something very few organisations offer due to cost and the administration burden associated with managing a benefit scheme for temporary workers. However, we want our associates to stay with us longer and as part of our commitment to them, who contribute greatly to clients’ businesses, I think it is important they feel valued as permanent employees.

“The STAR programme is our way of recognising their contribution to the work they do. We can support our Associates’ long term careers by building long-term partnerships with them and being there for each step in their journey. By putting the candidate at the heart of what we do, we can provide them with more fulfilling roles that allows them more time for science.”

The STAR loyalty initiative available to SRG’s temporary workers offers benefits such as:

  • Lifestyle benefits - take advantage of great savings and a range of discounts

  • 50% discount for New Scientist magazine

  • A 24/7 employee assistance programme - a confidential service with a qualified counsellor at the end of the phone to help you and your family deal with any stressful situation, from moving house to bereavement

  • Enhanced sickness cover
  • Life assurance up to the value of two times your basic salary paid to your nominated beneficiary
