Business optimism up to 64%, according to Angela Mortimer’s blue book 2016
Angela Mortimer has published the preliminary results of its blue book 2016.
The company states that there are underlying warnings that business leaders should take note of.
Business optimism has increased again with 64% of companies expecting to increase headcount during 2016. The majority of this growth is being driven from increased business demand (80%), Angela Mortimer says.
This positivity is reflected almost exactly by job seekers in the current employment market. 73% of the candidates in the UK feel confident in securing a role in the current market whilst 70% share this optimism in mainland Europe.
54% of businesses, however, noted the current recruitment environment as challenging, citing a lack of quality applicants and skills as the main issues.
The blue book is an international employment survey produced by the Angela Mortimer Groups covering the UK, Europe and the US.
