Mastech’s Kevin Horner to be succeeded by Vivek Gupta
Mastech Holdings, Inc. has announced that D. Kevin Horner has resigned as president and chief executive officer and director of the board.
Mastech's board of directors has appointed Vivek Gupta as his successor as president and CEO and director of the board, effective 1st March 2016.
Horner joined Mastech as CEO in October 2011 and had served on the board of directors since 2008. During his tenure, the company's annual revenues grew from approximately $80m to $123m and he led the company through its 2015 acquisition of the U.S. Hudson Global Resources Management.
He said, "I want to thank the Board, Mastech employees and customers for their support and am proud of the great things we have accomplished despite the often challenging environment for the staffing industry.”
Sunil Wadhwani and Ashok Trivedi, co-chairmen of its board of directors, stated, "The board would like to thank Kevin for his years of service and many contributions to Mastech as CEO and as a Director.”
Gupta joins Mastech from RPG Enterprises where he served as the chief executive of the Americas, RPG Group since October 2015. From 2011 to October 2015, Gupta served as the chief executive of Global Infrastructure Management Services at Zensar, part of the RPG Group. He joined Zensar in 1984 and served there in a number of senior executive positions in the U.S., Europe and India.
Wadhwani and Trivedi stated, "We are very pleased to have someone with Gupta's experience and depth of knowledge in the information technology space to guide Mastech during this next stage of its development."
