National Locums wins Business of the Year accolade
National Locums have been named Milton Keynes’ Business of the Year. The company was also awarded the Professional Practice award.
The Milton Keynes Business Achievement Awards are the city's annual business event, and attracted a packed audience to Stadium MK.
National Locums’ managing director, David Cook, said, "It is a recognition of our commitment to excellence in everything we do, and our ability to help hospital clients meet their staffing needs at a time when NHS budgets are under enormous pressure.
"It's a terrific achievement for the whole team, who are recruited almost exclusively from the Milton Keynes area, particularly as we were up against some of the most successful businesses in the region."
National Locums said the judges, which included entrepreneur Sir John Southby, Open University CEO Steve Hill and John Corby of Barclays Corporate, were impressed by its strong financial growth; the launch of two new divisions and investment plans which include launching operations in Australia.
