Randstad appoints marketing director
Randstad has appointed Adam Nicoll as marketing director for the UK and Middle East.
Previously, Nicoll headed up the marketing functions for GRS and Kinsey Allen International, before his most recent role, since 2010, as group head of marketing for FiveTen with remits across Europe, North and Latin America, Russia and India. His first marketing role in recruitment was with Badenoch & Clark. Prior to the recruitment industry, Randstad says Nicoll drove business development at Allen & Overy, after some years at KPMG, where he worked as a brand manager for their digital consultancy, Metrius Europe.
Nicoll will report directly into Mark Bull, CEO Randstad, UK and Middle East.
Nicoll said, “The attraction for me joining Randstad was considerable. As an employer brand within recruitment it represented a first-in-class proposition. I was also aware of the strengths of the marketing team here and had been impressed from afar by some of their campaigns. Additionally, the leadership team which Mark has built here is heavyweight, specialist and highly driven to succeed. Naturally I’ve been keen to be a part of this set up for some time.”
Bull commented, “This appointment is a very important next step in our journey to construct a market-leading UK leadership team. In Adam we have hired a specialist who appreciates the nuances of recruitment marketing as much as anyone in the industry. He is well versed in how to navigate marketing teams in complex matrix environments such as ours, he has a proven track record of growing brands, is commercially savvy, has had significant exposure to managing large budgets and is able to attract and motivate the best talent on the field. We look forward to seeing him flourish at Randstad and helping us to build compelling specialist propositions to our customer base.
