Recruit, LinkedIn and Seek top SIA’s list of largest job boards globally
Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA) has announced its ranking of the largest job boards globally for 2016.
This is SIA’s second annual ranking by revenue and covers 30 companies in a report which provides insights into total market size, year-on-year growth, currency effects and the impact of M&A. SIA says the ranking takes the broadest definition of job boards to include all forms of career portals such as social media sites, career communities, job aggregators and job distributors.
The top five global job boards based on 2015 revenue are:
Recruit, a Japanese HR company, led the list once again with $2,273m in annual revenue. Recruit operates a number of brands and firms internationally including Indeed. LinkedIn remained in the number two position with $1,877m, while the Australian-based Seek followed in third with $711m, up from its spot as fifth in last year’s ranking.
TEGNA, who own CareerBuilder, and Monster also secured top rankings, as the fourth and fifth largest respectively.
“For the second consecutive year our research identifies the structure and size of the marketplace,” said John Nurthen, SIA’s executive director of global research. “The 30 companies comprise a combined revenue of approximately $8.9 billion, with 12 of the 30 Job Boards headquartered in the US, eight in Europe and six in Asia Pacific.”
