APSCo’s ‘Defining The Future’ event confirmed for second year
The APSCo ‘Defining The Future’ event, held in conjunction with Deloitte, has been confirmed for a second year.
After a successful event in 2015, described by delegates as potentially ‘game changing’, APSCo states that this year’s three-day summit will again offer business leaders access to expert insight and knowledge from both Deloitte senior managers and advisers and expert practitioners from the recruitment sector.
APSCo says the event is designed to help delegates develop a bespoke strategic framework for their organisations supported by a practical, business-ready action plan designed to deliver sustainable growth. Expert practitioners from the sector include John Rose, Miles Hunt, Rob Gee and Graeme Read. Ian Manzie from UK Trade & Investment will also be attending while the confirmed line-up of Deloitte experts includes:
- Katie Folwell Davies – Partner, human capital services lead
- Sohail Ahmad – Assistant director, corporate finance
- Melissa Scully – Senior manager, board advisory
- Danielle Sweeney – Manager, strategy & operations
- Dennis Horner – Finance transformation advisory
The experts will facilitate workshops around Creating Shareholder Value; Driving Board performance; Building High Performance Teams; Maximising International Growth; Successful Mergers & Acquisitions; Differentiating Your Brand; Finessing The Finances and Authentic Leadership.
David Leyshon, managing director of CBSButler, said of last year’s event, “It was extremely valuable in terms of analysing and crystallising the value drivers of our business and in preparing the company for future exit. It is extremely rare to assemble such an accomplished group of people for an intense period of mentoring who can give real insight having been there and done it.”
“I’m extremely proud to be running this event again,” said Ann Swain, chief executive of APSCo. “It’s a real opportunity for chief executives and directors to equip themselves with the insight they need to drive tomorrow’s growth through access to experts from their sector – and a world leading professional services firm – you can’t get better than that!”
