Two staff members from the St Albans base of Berry Recruitment Group (BRG) picked up trophies at the group’s annual awards event held at Madame Tussauds in London.
Rebecca Booker won the ‘board recognition’ award and Claire Olton won the ‘Head Office person’ award.
Booker and Olton were presented with their awards by BRG chairman, Tony Berry.
He said, “Rebecca is our head of training and has done an incredible job since she joined us, and staff from all our branches appreciate her training courses and coaching.
“Rebecca has created both on-desk consultant training and a full three-year development journey which is really paying dividends for the business.
“Claire looks after the payroll which is of great importance and is something upon which the whole group depends.
“Claire’s award was voted for by our branches and is in recognition of her performance and excellent service standards.”
Managing director, Chris Chown, commented, “The group continues to go from strength to strength and the 2015 performance was the strongest to date.
“The year saw fantastic acquisitions, strong organic growth and the development of two new onsite operations.
“From our 32 locations across England and Wales we achieved total sales of £60m, increasing by £11m.
“We had ‘temp’ gross profit growth of 16.3% to £9.9m, ‘perm’ gross profit growth of 49% to £2.5m and total profit growth of 22% to £12.4m.
“Bearing in mind our sales back in 2010 were £18m the performance is outstanding.
“We are now anticipating turnover of more than £70m this year with increased profits as well.”
