Executives in Africa MD to attend AVCA Conference in Ethiopia
Richard Putley, managing director at Executives in Africa, is visiting the AVCA Conference for the first time this year.
Putley explained, “We have been working with many VC organisations who have, and are currently investing in, a wide range of exciting growth opportunities across Africa. From agricultural to renewable energy projects, Africa is the place to be.”
The AVCA Conference, which will be the largest African Private Equity gathering globally, is being held at the Sheraton Addis in Ethiopia on the 25th – 27th April. It’s the 13th annual conference and Executives in Africa says it will attract over 500 delegates from 30 countries globally.
Putley and his colleague, Edward King, executive search consultant, state they are looking to introduce themselves to PE/VC businesses who will need to hire the very best and experienced business leaders to deliver the required aggressive returns from their investments on the continent.
Putney added, “Critical to our success is our understanding of the operating environment in these locations, and that comes from our sole focus on Africa and also from regularly being on the ground. Last year we visited clients in nine different countries and we continue to be committed to spending time meeting our clients face to face.”
