HCL Clarity shortlisted for HSJ Value in Healthcare Awards 2016
HCL Clarity has been shortlisted for the HSJ Value in Healthcare Awards 2016 in the Workforce category.
HCL Clarity says this award champions the partnership between it and Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust, which brought monumental change to the workforce within the Trust’s temporary nursing staffing division. A transition plan to remove all non-approved agency supply and the implementation of innovative staffing technology has resulted in workforce efficiencies, savings, increased fill rates and improved patient care for the Trust, according to the company.
The Workforce category celebrates innovation within the clinical or non-clinical workforce to improve the quality, safety and cost effectiveness of care.
Claire Billenness, managing director at HCL Clarity, commented, “We’re honoured the judging panel has shortlisted us for this prestigious award. This reinforces our commitment to improving value and efficiency in healthcare. HCL Clarity’s innovative technology allows trusts the ability to better use substantive and bank employees, while cutting the cost of agency workers. Trusts need this transparency and visibility to make informed decisions about their workforce planning.”
Sarah Holliehead, head of strategic sourcing at Leicestershire Partnership Trust, added, “We found the right partner in HCL. The team worked in partnership with Trust staff and their morality shone through. HCL’s innovative technology provided us with real-time management information; this allowed us to regain control over temporary staffing. Within one year of implementation, the insights gained from this system will save the Trust at least £650K.”
Winners will be revealed at the HSJ Value in Healthcare Awards ceremony on 24 May.
