Matchtech unveiled as skills partner for HighwaysUK
Matchtech has announced that it will be the official skills partner for the HighwaysUK 2016 event at the NEC in Birmingham on 16-17th November.
The company says the event, supported by Highways England, brings together leaders from across the industry responsible for planning, developing, managing and maintaining the UK’s road network.
Joe Wilson, department manager for highways, transportation and planning at Matchtech, said, “We are thrilled to be working with HighwaysUK. It is an exciting time for the industry, particularly with the £15 billion Road Investment Strategy from Highways England.
“Through this skills partnership with Highways UK, we hope to continue engaging the industry in conversations around the skills agenda.”
In its role as skills partner, Matchtech states that it will be actively participating in the HighwaysUK advisory board and contributing to the formation of the event programme.
Highways UK managing director, Andrew Dowding, commented, “Matchtech has a strong pedigree and an in-depth knowledge of the skills required for the UK industry to deliver successful projects.
“We look forward to working with them to help address the skills issues in the highways industry.”
