Vivid Resourcing & JSA Services included in The Leap 100 2016
Today, Vivid Resourcing has announced it has listed in The Leap 100 2016 – a list of the 100 most exciting, fast-growth companies in the UK, launched by Mishcon de Reya and City AM. JSA Services have also been selected to appear on the list.
All the companies selected have demonstrated substantial growth over the past 12 months and been identified as the ‘ones to watch’ for 2016.
Vivid Resourcing was founded in 2008 by current managing director Charlie Walker (then 24).
Initially focussing upon supplying interim contract workers in the technology and engineers sectors, Vivid grew to a turnover exceeding £30m within just seven years.
The business supplies workers into over 50 countries, placing workers in roles ranging from biomass engineers in Rwanda, through to web developers in Sweden. The company is headquartered in Clerkenwell, with further locations in Manchester, Glasgow, Los Angeles, Amsterdam and Frankfurt.
The Leap 100 companies, which range in terms of scale and sector, were chosen because of their growth potential and ability to make the leap to the next level in terms of revenue.
City AM, and Mishcon de Reya, teamed up with The Supper Club, The Entrepreneurs Network and Seven Hills to compile the list, which is neither ranked nor exhaustive.
Kwasi Missah, managing director at JSA, said, “We are delighted that JSA has been recognised in this way. We are always looking at ways to improve our offering and to grow the business. JSA Services provides payroll and specialist accountancy services to contractors within the professional services, education, construction, medical and driving industries across the UK.
We have been recognised by a series of trade bodies for compliance and earned government accreditation for customer excellence. The company has won a number of other awards and is now growing 20% year on year. We proud that to report that JSA Services is 10 times more profitable than it was even 5 years ago. Being included in The Leap 100 is an honour and a testament to the forward thinking management team at JSA and the hard work of our staff.”
Nick Davis, head of corporate at Mishcon de Reya, commented, "This stage of a company's growth can be very dramatic, with risks of serious setbacks and sudden lows, but with high rewards for those who make it to the other side. The Leap 100 campaign examines and celebrates the hurdles and opportunities that fast growing companies face. We launched The Leap 100 in 2015 to support a select group of some of the UK's most exciting, high growth companies. This year's list is yet again a dynamic group of companies to watch."
Christian May, editor of City AM, said of the list, "The UK has a thriving SME community making up 99.9% of the private sector. However, for the majority of companies, the key problem continues to focus on how companies scale in order to grow to their full potential. The purpose of this list is to showcase the UK companies succeeding in doing this, as well as identifying those that we as a nation need to be aware of – they are a triumph.”
