Marks Sattin and Morson take part in ‘Tough Mudder’ for charity
A team from High Holborn-based recruitment agency Marks Sattin and 20 employees from Morson’s London office took part in the London West ‘Tough Mudder’ event last weekend (Saturday 30th April 2016) to raise money for charity.
The Marks Sattin team were raising money for Solving Kids’ Cancer while the Morson team were raising money for its 2016 chosen charities, Seashell Trust and Springhill Hospice, as well as to a Morson colleague whose daughter is undergoing treatment for cancer.
Matthew Wilcox, managing director of the firm, which has raised £11,000 for the charity so far this year, commented, “Everyone at Marks Sattin loves what Solving Kids’ Cancer do to help children with the most dangerous childhood cancers. Getting involved in the Tough Mudder event is our first big fundraising push since we made Solving Kids’ Cancer our Charity of the Year. The fundraising journey has been full of fun and hope, which is everything we wish for the children we’re trying to help.”
Russell Otter, director of Morson Group, said, “Everyone trained in their own way for the Tough Mudder challenge; some running, some working on strength, but no matter what training we did and no matter how physically fit we were, no-one was prepared and everyone felt the after effects. The tremendous sense of achievement we felt upon finishing was a feeling that is hard to match.”
