Smart Solutions engage back office support from Access Group
Smart Solutions (Recruitment), has invested in new financial, business intelligence and HR & payroll software from Access Group.
This follows a prolonged period of growth, during which the company's turnover has hit £80m and there are plans in place for this to reach £150m by 2020.
Commenting on the service change, Smart Solutions stated they had found themselves in a position where the disparate applications they were using for their back office functions meant that they could not get complete visibility of the state of the business easily.
Dale Parry, director of projects & IT for Smart Solutions, said, “The applications we were using had been put in place when we had fewer staff, lower turnover and needed significantly fewer transactions from both within and outside of the business. In order to support the continued growth of the business and to make efficiencies in the back office functions of the organisation it was decided that a new suite of applications was needed.”
Smart Solutions announced it chose Access as it integrated with their existing recruitment solution RDB Pronet, which is part of the Access product portfolio, and it offered a single platform for all back-office solutions; HR, payroll and finance.
Parry added, “The benefits we get will include integration of our front and back end processes, which will lead to a more streamlined business in terms of the operational functions we need to carry out. We’ll be able to provide staff with the ability to carry out a number of ‘self-service’ tasks, such as expense and holiday request submissions, which will remove a large amount of manual admin tasks, and having the ability to have a ‘single version of the truth’ in terms of BI data means that we are able to make decisions based on accurate information."
