Cooper Lomaz Recruitment shortlisted for CSR Award
East Anglia-based Cooper Lomaz Recruitment has been shortlisted alongside three other businesses for a Corporate Social Responsibility Award run by the East Anglian Daily Times.
The Corporate Social Responsibility Award is aimed at commercial businesses that demonstrate how they integrate the success and smooth running of their business with a strong sense of responsibility and consideration for their role as a corporate citizen.
Cooper Lomaz commercial director, Simon Brown, said, “Cooper Lomaz are extremely ecstatic to be shortlisted by the East Anglian Daily Times for the Corporate Social Responsibility award 2016. This award really does acknowledge great business practices, which we are very proud of.”
Entrants were expected to demonstrate commitment to a number of good practices within the normal everyday commercial running of the business. In particular, the judges were looking for evidence in the following areas:
Culture – How the business engages with all aspects of working life;
Ethics – Integrity when dealing with customers and business partners;
Diversity and inclusion – Evidence of a consultative and enriching environment for employee’s development; Community – evidence of direct involvement in the wider community and a culture of encouraging employees to participate;
Health and safety – Evidence of a safe working environment and that the business is a healthy and happy place for employees who are able to balance work and family commitments.
The judges said, “The team at Cooper Lomaz have been together for many years and built a reputation through knowing their clients and engaging the local community.
“They are proud of their region and give back wherever possible. Their recruitment policy through engaging with local schools and giving careers advice to younger pupils is commendable. They have a strong team ethic and the diversity of their workforce is critical to their success.”
The awards dinner takes place at Trinity Park in Ipswich on 7th July 2016.
