National Locums raises over £1,800 for children’s hospital

Staff, family and friends of Milton Keynes-based medical recruitment agency National Locums raised £1,868 for a children's hospital at a Curry Night held at the Naidni Indian restaurant, Stony Stratford.

The evening was held to boost funds for the Oxford Children's Hospital, the beneficiary of the company's 2016 corporate social responsibility initiative.

Following the meal, there was bidding at the charity auction, where prizes included a signed Tottenham Hotspur Legends shirt, a stay for two at Whittlebury Hall Hotel and Spa, and a pair of tickets to the British Touring Car Championship at Silverstone.

The Oxford Children’s Hospital is one of only a handful of purpose-built, specialist centres for children in the UK. It is very close to the hearts of National Locums directors Jen and David Cook, whose children Evan and Jessica have been treated at the hospital, as has Riley, son of directors Natalie and Glenn Cook.

The company is aiming to beat the £7,000 it raised last year for Leo's Appeal, in support of the Milton Keynes Hospital children's unit.
