Russam GMS appoints associate director of executive search
Russam GMS has appointed Cathy Kay as associate director of executive search.
The company says Kay brings a vast amount of recruitment and executive search experience to Russam GMS. She has worked for Fortune 500 companies in all sectors, and is particularly recognised for her work within the technology industry, in innovation, digital transformation, technology infrastructure and for companies where tech is a vital platform.
Working with Melissa Baxter, director, executive search at Russam GMS, Kay will help expand the executive search business, with a specialist focus on senior level digital transformation and technology roles.
She joins from Aspen Worldwide, where she specialised in technology. Prior to this she held senior roles at Spectrum Technology Executive Search and Selection, McGregor Boyall and Fletcher Kay Executive Search. Her earlier career was spent working with advertising company Saatchi & Saatchi, where she was part of the recruitment advertising team.
Commenting on her appointment, Kay said, “Most businesses are some way on their digital transformation journey and we’re seeing strong demand for digital experts across all sectors. I am looking forward to using my technology expertise and connections to help Russam capitalise on these opportunities.
“I was attracted to Russam GMS because of its culture, which is based on trust and authenticity. The work the company does in the non-profit sector through Trustees Unlimited and Step on Board also really differentiates it – it has an eclectic mix of clients which is refreshing and which brings lots of opportunities for cross selling and skills sharing.”
Baxter commented, “We are delighted to welcome Cathy - she will be a real asset to the team and help accelerate our growth. Her wealth of skills, talent and technology expertise will help us meet the demand for digital transformation experts and expand into new sectors. Cathy is also a fantastic executive coach who will help us run our Assimilation Coaching Programme, which supports senior executives during the first 180 days of their jobs.”
