Specialist People Services recognised on Sunday Times HSBC International Track 200

Specialist People Services has been recognised as one of the UK’s fastest-growing businesses, based on international sales.

The Bradford-based company, which is backed by LDC, is named in the Sunday Times HSBC International Track 200, published this weekend (Sunday 12th June).

The International Track 200 lists UK firms with the fastest-growing international sales based on overseas revenues of £1m or more.

SPS is ranked at number 104 through its Driver Hire Australia business, which provides temporary labour to a number of industries. The first Driver Hire Australia office opened in Perth in 2012 and is now one of four, alongside Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.

Chris Chidley (pictured), chief executive of SPS, said, “In a relatively short of period of time we’ve built a successful business in Australia, with four offices offering strong coverage across the country.

“Key to this was playing to our strengths and exporting our expertise in providing specialist temporary labour to hard-to-serve industries like transport and logistics.

“The result of this is that we now have a significant foothold in a growing market. Nevertheless, we remain committed to looking for other opportunities to continue to build our business overseas and in the UK, either through further organic growth or acquisitions.”

Alongside Driver Hire Australia, Bradford-based SPS owns a range of leading recruitment services brands including Driver Hire Nationwide, ISS Labour, Driver Certificate of Professional Competence training provider Driver Hire Training; and eServices.
