Airswift partners with DEWA and UKTI to host UK pavilion at WETEX 2016
Airswift has partnered with the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) and UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) to host the UK pavilion at the Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX) 2016.
WETEX offers companies the opportunity to demonstrate their solutions, network with decision makers and explore the prospects in the UAE water, energy, technology and environment industries. Airswift states that the exhibition has established itself as one of the largest of its kind worldwide – 1,696 companies from 46 countries participated in the 2015 event.
Andrew Ryan (pictured), VP Middle East and Central Asia at Airswift, said, “WETEX is an unmissable opportunity for UK businesses to connect with the right people and export their knowledge, experience and solutions into this bountiful region.
“There are many forthcoming projects in the Middle East that are calling out for the skills of established UK companies. WETEX is the place to be for those wishing to take advantage of the fantastic business opportunities on offer.”
At an event hosted by Airswift, DEWA earlier this year, his Excellency Saeed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of DEWA and vice chairman of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, highlighted $21 billion of large scale projects and tenders in Dubai. The government body also emphasised the need for UK energy expertise on major projects including smart grid infrastructure, the Green Energy Fund and the Green Free Zone.
WETEX will take place from the 4th – 6th of October 2016 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
