CV-Library wins ‘PR Achievement of the Year’ award

CV-Library has been awarded Gold in the Public Relations Achievement of the Year - Business Products and Services award category at the international 2016 Golden Bridge Awards, organised by SVUS Awards (Silicon Valley United States Awards). 


The coveted annual Golden Bridge Awards programme encompasses the world’s best in public relations and celebrates CV-Library’s insightful quality content and the authoritative data published by the organisation in its first 12 months of PR activity.


The global award, which included other big brand name winners such as Thomson Reuters, Cisco, Bloomberg and American Express, recognises the achievements of CV-Library’s in-house PR and communications team, who proactively tap into the organisations multi-million candidate database and job-related data. The team ensure that the business can provide comment and insight on key trending topics, such as the recent ‘Brexit’, whilst also generating quarterly job market reports that are often used as a key resource by the media.


Lee Biggins, founder and managing director of CV Library, said, “I’m really proud of the PR and Communications team here at CV-Library and the award win is indicative of their hard work and dedication to the business. Over the past year, they have worked tirelessly to ensure that we effectively report back to the recruitment industry on key employment and careers trends and we have big ambitions for taking this even further throughout the year ahead.”


The team is led by PR & communications manager, Michelle Smithson (pictured), who has over 10 years’ experience working in B2B PR amongst national and international brands. 


Smithson and her team were tasked with building a brand profile across UK media, and positioning Lee Biggins and his business as a go-to resource for data and expert knowledge on all job, recruitment, employment, business, career and workplace topics. As a result, Biggins himself is a regular commentator to the media, sharing his expertise with recruiters, job hunters and business owners alike.


Smithson added, “Building the brand’s perception and profile has been an exciting challenge for us and we’re delighted with the results. This last year has provided us with an effective platform to take our PR activity even further, especially with our global expansion already happening in the U.S. 2016 is already a massive success and we are working alongside our other in-house marketing teams to develop exciting campaigns and to continue to reach out to the recruitment industry in the most innovative ways.”
