CV-Library’s Global Brand Awarded ‘Start-up of the Year’
CV-Library’s global brand, Resume-Library, has been awarded the Silver accolade for ‘Start-up of the Year’ at the international 2016 Golden Bridge Awards, organised by SVUS Awards (Silicon Valley United States Awards).
The award celebrates the US job site’s huge success and growth over the last 12 months, in an extremely competitive American market.
Resume-Library was recently launched in the States by CV-Library, the UK’s leading independent job site, and has grown at a rapid pace.
The global award, which included other big brand name winners such as Bloomberg, American Express, Thomson Reuters and Cisco, recognises the incredible achievements of Resume-Library, which has already amassed a database of over 1.2m resumes in the last year.
Set to continue its rapid expansion, the site is already being used by thousands of staffing agencies and employers and is fast becoming one of the most powerful recruitment tools on the market; sharing job vacancies with over 40 partner sites, resulting in 135,000 job applications every month.
Lee Biggins, founder and chief executive of Resume-Library, commented, “We are so proud to receive ‘Start-up of the Year’ and to be celebrated on a global scale, it’s especially great to be recognised alongside some incredible big brand names. Taking on the American market was a huge challenge for us, and what we have achieved in the past year is indicative of the hard work the team has put in. Resume-Library is expanding beyond all expectations, and as a company we will continue to strive for success, and to invest heavily in the business, to ensure that we’re offering both clients and candidates the very best service.”
Previously operating out of the UK, the new headquarters was opened in Boston earlier this year and places the entire Resume-Library team in the US, enabling the business to better serve its American clients. As Resume-Library continues to defy all growth expectations, new services and offerings are continuously added to the website, with a dedicated team working to keep pace with the growing user base.
Biggins added, “Resume-Library is going from strength to strength, and we already have big market competitors keeping a very close eye on what we’re up to; our site is unique and we hope that one day it will be the world’s largest resume database. Our expansion in to America helps us to be closer to, and better serve, our US clients, and with customer service at the heart of everything we do, this was definitely an important step to take. We’re excited to see what the next 12 months has in store for us, as we look to continue our expansion into Canada, Australia, India and Europe.”
