Morson Group CEO named as co-owner of rugby club Sale Sharks

Ged Mason, Morson Group’s CEO, has been named as a co-owner of Sale Sharks alongside Simon Orange (founder and chair of CorpArq). Sale Sharks announced its board of directors on Thursday 14th July.

 

The two owners are joined by a ten-man board of directors led by chairman, Fran Cotton (ex-England captain and British and Irish Lions prop). The remaining board of directors include: Mike Ingall, CEO of Allied London; former England international rugby union player and Sale legend, Steve Smith; Mike Blood, a former Sale player and now head of corporate at law firm JMW; Steve Diamond, the club’s director of rugby; accountant Dermot Power; and Jon Dorsett, CEO at Sale Sharks and director at CorpAcq. As a collective, they state their ambition is to develop Sale Sharks into a shining example of a northern powerhouse on and off the field.

 

Speaking of the announcement, Mason said, “I’m thrilled to be part of Sale Sharks’ future. These are exciting times for the club as we work as a team to bring continued and even greater success to the club.”
